About the book

The story of a community, told by its people

The First 15 Years will tell the story of TiE Tampa Bay through the people who built its community and the entrepreneurs whose journeys it has helped shape — founders, mentors, investors, educators, volunteers and partners.

Through first-hand interviews, personal stories, archival photographs and a verified timeline, the book will explore how ideas become businesses, how mentorship changes decisions, and how relationships open doors to expertise, customers and capital. It will recognise achievement while making room for the setbacks, difficult choices and lessons that give entrepreneurial stories their value.

TiE Tampa Bay is the chapter identity, with an editorial scope extending across Florida and into TiE's worldwide network. Contributions will be considered according to their role in entrepreneurship, with equal editorial standing regardless of location.

Why we are creating it

What should entrepreneurship across Florida become over the next 15 years?

An anniversary creates an opportunity to preserve stories that might otherwise remain scattered across individual memories, events and organisations. The book will also look ahead: how more people can gain access to mentorship, investment and opportunity, and what it will take to build businesses and a community that endure.
